- AKA opened up about his political views on an interview recently
- He showed his support for the ANC and this time surprisingly the EFF
- He even suggested they create an alliance, which he described would be "the greatest thing that could happen"
South African rapper AKA opened up about his political views recently- and it appears he had a change of heart.
The 30-year-old is known to be a strong backer of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s party, but he recently cleared the air over his political views in a YFM interview this week.
AKA recently told his followers he tries to refrain from sharing his political views on Twitter, but he shed a bit of light on it during his interview.
As always, AKA has full confidence in the ANC, which is not much that could be said for his trust in the Democratic Alliance.
"I don't think that the DA is a serious (opposition). It represents a minority. At the end of the day, this is South Africa. A minority needs to be represented, but I think right now the biggest issues are with the majority and not the minority. The majority is the ANC and EFF, in terms of demographics."
He then added he believes it would be a good idea for the EFF and ANC to join forces and rule the country in unity.
"I don't think it will happen though. I think the EFF is needed. I think it would be a strong opposition," he added.
His new tune about the EFF is far from what he thought in 2016.
"The ANC is faaaaar from perfect, but I firmly believe it's the only political party with the credentials and policies to lead our country," he said in a tweet that has since been deleted.
His tweet prompted a response from Juju himself.
