Cele, founder of Dope Store, prepared for four months on the collection he planned to show off at the South African Fashion Week in Sandton last month.

The high-end fashion show features some of SA's hottest talents on a lavish event held on the Sandton City roof top, where they hope to show off their skills to buyers and create brand awareness.

However, a mere hour before Cele was set to show off his stunning streetwear designs, he received an SMS to inform him he would not longer be partaking in the show.

Devastated, the talented designer wanted to know why his hard work would be excluded from the show, but he never received a straight answer.

“She says the finishes are too rugged for her, they are not cool enough. She is old!” Andile protested.
“We are street wear. This is what the kids are wearing. This is what the kids are about. If she doesn’t understand it does not mean all the black kids won’t

Cele added he has been at SA Fashion Week for the past four years, so he is familiar with the rules. However, he's not letting it get him down, and he now plans to take his creation to the Soweto Fashion Week.
