The captain then went on to win two gold medals for the 5000m race and cross-country event. He won another gold medal in April which was enough to get him invited to participate in the Police Athletics in Spain.
His contribution to sport as well as representing South Africa will make the country proud.
Captain Elliot Tshivhas, spokesperson for the Norwood Police Station, said the following.
“He is in a position to be selected to represent South Africa in Spain in an upcoming athletics competition wearing South Africa’s colours,” said Tshivhase.
“This will be a great achievement for him and the SAPS at large. He’s participating in the marathons and his contribution to the Gauteng SAPS marathon team also plays a vital role to put the police service in a competitive standard along with private teams.”
His station would continue to support him while he competes overseas.
