The Orlando Pirates ended their Premiership campaign with a win against the Free State Stars at Orlando Stadium by beating the visitors two goals to one.
Though the victory was welcomed it made no impact on the Buccaneers standing in the competition as they were set to finish as the runners-up irrespective of the outcome of the game.

The Pirates got off to a slow start at the beginning of the match before Ntsikelelo Nyauza scored a goal but had to be taken off the field after sustaining a thigh injury.
Early in the second half the Stars equalised with a goal by Nhlanhla Vilakazi who was assisted by Paulus Masehe.
The Bucs managed to secure a victory in the 83rd minute with a goal by Justin Shonga who beat the substitute goal keeper, Badra Ali Sangare, with a long range shot.
