A hilarious video went viral of a police man running away from a snake after his police dog let him straight to the reptile.
The video was posted on Zvinhu Zvirikufaya's Facebook page, and it quickly went viral. Since its upload date, the clip received over 1.5 million views and it had been shared 21000 times.
It shows an officer taking off his dog's leash, so that the canine can search for suspicious objects. When a police dog finds something it was trained to, the animal would sit next to it to let his owner know.
So, when the officer's dog sat, he went to investigate what it found- just to receive the shock of his life.
The video shows the officer bending over to investigate what his dog found, but he immediately started running away, screaming "snake".
The video received thousands of comments, and Briefly.co.za gathered a few:
"I'm not trying to be that guy but I never understood the steriotype about black people and animals and being in dangerous situations. All our ancestors came from a place (Africa of course) with some of the most diverse and dangerous wildlife whom many still live in close proximity with obviously. Either way it was a funny video", Michael Flanagan wrote.
"How cool it is to be African . He totally had forgotten about the training he has received over the years and ran the FO. Dead laughing....bottom line and lesson learned : this dog is a unreliable ", DA Mbuku Sullivan commented.
Tighearnan Lyne-mcmullan wrote, "Not sure what I would do, most snakes I don't have problems with, but a cobra would have me running like Usain Bolt!"
