- Prophets Mboro and Bushiri recently reconciled
- A "fake story" about Prophet Mboro asking congregants to remove their underwear surfaced
- He blames it on people who are unhappy with his reconciliation with Prophet Bushiri
Prophet Paseka "Mboro" Motsoeneng has claimed that the latest smear campaign against him is as a result of his reconciliation with Prophet Shepherd Bushiri.
Briefly.co.za reported recently that Mboro and Bushiri reached a truce following their five-year public feud.
Soon afterwards, a viral video emerged purporting to show Mboro asking his congregants to take off their underwear.
In an interview with Times Live, Mboro said the video is from 2014 and congregants brought clean underwear from home. He explained:
I am just going to say there's no way in hell I would ever ask a man, woman or child to be naked in the church and lift up their underwear.
Those (fake stories) people were wrong and that video is old. They (congregants) brought clean underwear from their houses.
He added that people who are unhappy about his truce with Prophet Bushiri are behind the fake news campaign. The "prophet" said:
They are no longer attacking me. I am not being attacked here. They are the enemies of Prophet Bushiri who are not happy.
However, he insisted that he will not be deterred:
They will not win. I don't regret reconciling and standing by Prophet Bushiri. He apologised for the things that were done in his name and right in the storm that he's going through, as a man of God, I'm standing with him.
