What do Elizabeth Taylor, Diana, Princess of Wales and South African actress Nomzamo Mbatha have in common?

Each of these stunning women has a rose named after her.

Nomzamo shared on social media that a lovely pink rose has been named after her:

Her fans are sure to agree that the rose is just as pretty and feminine as Nomzamo and that if there's one South African who deserves a flower named after her, it's Nomzamo.

And what could be more natural? Many celebrities have perfumes named after them. Why not immortalise the beautiful women we admire by naming flowers after them?

Nomzamo is a beloved and influential actress that inspires South African women to be strong without sacrificing natural beauty - much like a rose.

She believes that African women can be tough without losing their femininity. According to Nomzamo, women don't have to be meek or stand back in life.

Nomzamo wants South African women to be loud and passive, and to grab life and live it.

We don't have to be polite, we don't have to be apologetic about it. When you cannot communicate your feelings, when you can't communicate your words, someone else can take that narrative and control it for you.

Much like a rose with its thorns, Nomzamo is beautiful but tough and not to be taken on without gloves.
