- A young lady inspired Black Twitter when she announced she’s officially a private pilot
- And, she’ll now be aiming to go into flying commercial
- However, instead of concentrating on her achievements, some male tweeps only noticed her looks
Piloting an aircraft is seen as a job done by a man, but there are ladies, who are working hard, to show there’s a place in the industry for women.
One of the exceptional ladies is Lesego Modungwa, who recently received her stripes- making her a private pilot.
The young lady became a private pilot this week after she received her stripes in September last year.
In a social media post on 12 September 2017, Modungwa wrote “Finally got my stripes”. And, now a few months later, she’s a qualified private pilot.
Modungwa took to social media on Thursday to share the news about her great achievement, and social media users were inspired.
“So I officially became a private pilot today”, she said.
Her post received a lot of attention from South Africans who are proud to see a woman succeeding in a predominantly male industry.
She then went on to confirm she’ll be aiming to get her commercial pilot license next.
However, some men decided to overlook her achievement and concentrate on her looks- which left her fending off guys.
“Come drive jet so we can fly around with auto - pilot, leaving me and you in the back”, @Leone_inn, commented.
Modungwa quickly put him in his place by telling him she already has a significant other. However, @Leone_inn was not the only one looking to have a piece of the beautiful pilot.
