Throwback: Simz Ngema's beautiful bridal shower

It was less than a year ago that an unimaginable tragedy struck Simphiwe Ngema when her husband, Dumi Masilela, was killed in a hijacking in Tembisa.

She still mourns the loss the love of her life but looks back on happier times. She posted pictures of her bridal shower on social media which took place on this day exactly a year ago.

This one of the ways that she is coming to terms with the loss of Dumi. She has asked her fans not to feel sorry for her as she comes to terms with the tragedy.

“Don’t feel sorry for me. With all that I have faced in my life, I have never felt sorry for myself. I know that this cross has my name on it. It’s for me to carry. I’ve always kept my crown on my head, not once did I let it fall because I know who I am.
“Irrespective of what I’ve faced … I have conquered. I wear my purple robe with pride only because I know who I belong to. I am God’s child and I am royalty.”

Along with her recent post she also included a Whatsapp message between her and Dumi shortly before their wedding day.

Photos of the couples gorgeous wedding was also posted by Simphiwe, it really was a fairy tale wedding and it is heartbreaking that they did not have a fairy tale ending.
