A tweep recently recalled a conversation she had with a white female colleague, who believes black people should earn less than white people do.
A South African with the Twitter handle @tina_blackrose shared how a white co-worker told her she should earn less than white people. And, the reasons they white lady gave was absolutely absurd.
"I'll never forget when a white woman I used to work with told me I didn't need to get paid as much as her because as a black person I had cheaper options to everything. She said "you people don't even need to buy meat because you can eat chicken feet", she posted on Twitter.
She then added the white woman proudly told her, her grandfather was in the Rhodesian army after learning @tina_blackrose was from Zimbabwe.
Her tweets about the co-worker inspired other South Africans to share similar stories.
"My white counterpart once told me my ethics and proficiency was amazing probably i was not the product of black community i politely told her everything he sees was a product of community of black people.", @TokozaNokoyo commented.
Another tweep wrote, "But last year I put a certain famous racist at work in his place:I told him I wasn't his garden boy.he was so shocked."
