- Mi Casa is a local band comprising of three talented young musicians
- The band announced they have just signed an international publishing deal with SONY/ATV
- They say they are ready to travel and see the world
Mi Casa, a house band based in Johannesburg, consists of three members, Dr Duda (producer) and pianist, J'Something (vocalist and guitarist), and Mo-T (trumpeter).
The band’s roots stretch back to 2011 when all three future members were at a night lounge and decided to perform together.
It was only a few months later that they released their first album, Micasa Music.
The album went gold winning several awards at the 18th Annual MTN South Africa Music Awards in 2012.
They climb has been steady since then with their latest milestone being a signed international publishing deal with SONY/ATV.
Dr Duda believes it is every dream for an artist to be recognised worldwide and is looking forward to this new adventure! He says he is ready to travel and see the world.
J’Something says it’s important for them to remember their roots, where they came from as a band. He says they never started out as a band, but rather as three musos who wanted to make music.
That’s where the passion lies and if these three can hold onto that sentiment, then the sky will really be the limit for them.
