It is not often that white people speak any of the African languages in the country, so we were impressed when a woman shared a video on social media of her mother slaying the Zulu language.
Tonya Khoury took to social media to share a video of her mother speaking Zulu fluently, apparently because it is her home language.
"My mother Her home language was #Zulu before it was #English. #AfricanLanguagesDay #AfricaMonth @MediaShowAfrica @AshrafGarda @SAfmRadio @SABCNewsOnline @HowardFeldman @KathradaFound", she captioned the video.
The white lady obviously scored serious points with tweeps, who went as far as to tell her she can "keep the land".
Another tweep, George Lebese wrote: "She whips Zulu without trying... Very inspirational in a lot of ways!"
Although it is not common for white people to speak African languages, we have seen it before.
Briefly.co.za previously reported about a white man who spoke perfect Xhosa. Kegan Skye Nash has taken to social media to send South Africans an important message regarding people's skin colour.
Nash uploaded a video on social media, where he is heard delivering South Africans an important message in fluent Xhosa.
"We all have the same blood. We cannot judge by colour. I hope we can stand together and stop making excuses for our terrible actions.”, he said as part of his message.
