Last week, reports suggested David Mabuza was set to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin, but there has since been no sign of him.

As reported previously, both President Cyril Ramaphosa and his deputy had work related international trips at the beginning of last week.

Mabuza visited Russia to formally invite the Russian head of state to the Brics summit in SA in July, as well as to congratulate him on winning the national elections.

However, Ramaphosa has since returned to South Africa, but Mabuza is yet to be seen. This led to the EFF and a few other tweeps to use it as an opportunity to poke fun at the deputy president.

"It has been two weeks since government reported that DD Mabuza is in Russia on a special envoy. Where are the images? What is the agenda or purpose of his visit and why is it taking two weeks? When will he be back? #Siyabuza #WhereIsDDMabuza #MissingAdultAlert - RT for awareness", the EFF wrote on Twitter along with a missing poster for Mabuza.

The Twitter parody account Man's Not Barry Roux also posted a missing person poster for Mabuza, but he added a hilarious description of the deputy president.

Needless to say, both the EFF and Man's Not Barry Roux's posts received a lot of attention of social media and tweeps were left in stitches.
