In a time where divorce rates are sky high, it is inspiration to hear about stories of people who managed to make their marriages work, no matter what.
Social media user Katlego Tefu took to her Twitter account to share photos of her grandparents on their way to a vacation for their 50th wedding anniversary.
In another tweet Katlego added she wanted her grandparents to guide her when she gets married, because they know what they’re talking about.
“I really hope when I get married they are still alive so they can do that marriage counseling thing for me. They did it for my parents (how corny?! ❤️) and they’ve been married for 27 years. Clearly they got the answers.”, she said.
Her post inspired other tweeps, some giving their own stories while others asked her to give them her grandparents’’ advice as well.
The power of Tefu’s grandparents’ love resulted in one man fessing up about the mistakes he makes in a relationship.
“I feel that I am abusive and it gets to me big time when she says NO. Emotional and Financial abuse. A happy wife makes a happy family but if I cant keep her happy its another story”, the tweep wrote.
And from us at Briefly.co.za, a congratulations to Tefu’s grandparents on the great milestone in their marriage!
