Proudly African: Local celebs and politicians share their best #AfricaDay outfits

Friday marks the annual Africa Day and our celebrities and politicians did not disappoint with their outfits on the special occasion.

Taking place every year on 25 May, people across the African continent celebrate Africa Day in honor of the foundation of the Organisation of African Unity, which was established in 1963.

And, the some of the most famous people in South Africa took the day very serious- they wore stunning African inspired outfits to celebrate.

So, in honor of Africa Day, Briefly.co.za decided to find five of the best traditional outfits wore by SA celebs and politicians.

1. Pearl Thusi

Pearl Thusi is one hot mama in her Africa Day outfit, which she shared on Twitter earlier on Friday.

2. Thando Thabethe

One of our favorite looks for the day has to be Thando Thabethe’s. The SA beauty looks like a queen in her stunning outfit, and the message she captioned her photo with just inspired us!

“Celebrating the beauty of this incredible continent...Happy Africa Day my fellow Africans”.

3. Thembi Seete

Thembi Seete recently became a mommy and the 41-year-old is just glowing. She shared a beautiful photo in honor of Africa Day on her Instagram account and we can honestly say motherhood is treating her well.

4. Terry Pheto

Terry Pheto’s Africa Day photo is so beautiful, one man considered becoming a polygamist.

“Im not a polygamist. But I would marry them both together at the same time & live happily ever after”, kingaqui wrote.

5. Julius Malema

It is not often Juju gets on a best dressed list, and although we love him in his red overalls, we have to admit he rocked the African themed shirts.
