3rd times the charm as Real Madrid win another Champions League title

Zinedine Zidane has proven that he is not just a brilliant football player but a coach as well after winning the Champions League three times in a row with a 3-1 win over Liverpool.

Zidane has made history for being the first coach to achieve such an amazing feat. And Real Madrid is the first team to score a hat-trick in Champion League titles since Bayern Munich which was back in 1976.

Real Madrid has won four titles in the past five years and 13 in total. It was also the fifth title for Cristiano Ronaldo but the man that took the day was undoubtedly Gareth Bale who came off the bench to score twice, one of them being one of the most spectacular goals in Champion League history.

Bale performed an astonishing overhead kick in the 64th minute which put Real Madrid up 2-1 against Liverpool. What made it more amazing is that is was only two after Bale took to the field that he scored his first goal.

He met a cross kick from Marcelo with an amazing leap and kicked the ball over his head 13 meters from the goals.

The match was a disaster for Liverpool and saw their star Mohamed Salah taken off the field in tears after he injured his should in a challenge between himself and Sergio Ramos in the 25th minute.

As a result Salah chances to feature in the Soccer World Cup is at risk.
