Man shaves beard for new job but his girlfriend isn’t exactly thrilled

A man in New Orleans, US, is feeling his girlfriend's wrath after having to shave his beard for a new job.

Devin Montrel shared his story on Twitter along with pictures of himself before and after shaving his beard, Briefly.co.za learned. He included screenshots of his girlfriend's disapproval and wrote:

So I had to shave my beard off for a new job and my girl is being so encouraging.

Devin's girlfriend spared no words in expressing just how "different" he now looks. She wrote:

You look like you ran into a wall. You look just as stupid as the face on your chest. You look like you do drag.

His tweet has garnered a whopping 37,000 likes and 17,000 retweets so far. Some felt his girlfriend was expressing her tough love for him. Others complimented his commitment to getting a job.

In subsequent tweets, Devin shared a photo of his girlfriend and updated his followers on the status of his job interviews.
