AKA very recently shared the news of a new single on social media. The rapper worked with international brand Reebok to create the single and it was an instant hit.

The single was shot in an underground parking lot to give it the right kind of urban culture feel without neglecting the sporty side that represents Reebok.

The rapper/hip hop star is now officially the face of Reebok Classics. AKA went on to boast a little and said he got a fat cheque when he got the deal.

The endorsement deal that AKA got is part of a world wide campaign and with him is fellow hip hop superstar Future. Gigi Hadid, the supermodel, and Rae Sremmurd are also a part of the campaign.

It's the first time that Reebok made a deal like this between them and an artist - at least in Africa.

PJ Morilly who is Reebok's brand director, was full of praise for AKA when he discussed signing with the star.

Morilly said that Reebok Classics' goal is to embrace as well as celebrate that which is timeless. They looked at stars who's work lives beyond the present and who will stay true to themselves and what they represent.

Morilly added that with those criteria in mind the brand is happy to add the rapper to their family. They think of AKA as very much a gifted musician with great influence. They believe that he has showed he is a true Classic when he became one of Africa's biggest stars in the musical world.

According to Morilly AKA has stood the test of time. The brand feels that AKA will grow even bigger and go even further in future. They say that he is and will be Forever Classics.

AKA has been having a great year and since he signed a 7-figure deal with Reebok he is reaching new heights.

Not only is AKA a huge star, he has a heart of gold as well. Briefly.co.za recently gathered five interesting facts about the real AKA, where we learned the rapper uses his fortune to help those in need.

The South African reported that the rapper also has his own scholarship program in association with the SAE Institute and Bridges for Music. The scholarship covers a complete year's tuition at the institute for a higher certificate in sound production.

But the scholarship is not all the star does in order to help others. He recently gave SA artists a chance to compete to create the cover of his album Touch My Blood, which is really cool of him.

Fans look forward to seeing what their star will be giving them next.
