Briefly.co.za saw a post on Twitter by @TBoozeSA, of an unemployed man demonstrating his genius invention, which allows one to remotely start your car using only a cellphone.

Peter Makwakwa designed and developed an app that can start a vehicle via Bluetooth with the touch of a button on a mobile phone.

According to @TBoozeSA’s post, the innovator graduated with a Diploma in Information technology and he is now busy with his B-tech part time.

However, despite his obvious intellectual talent, Makwakwa just cannot seem to land a proper job. In South Africa, 7.3% of all unemployed people have graduated from a higher education institute, and sadly Makwakwa is one of them.

But, he is not sitting idly by while waiting for an opportunity to fall in his lap- no, the talented developer took the free time he has to create the genius app.

Tweeps were very impressed with Makwakwa’s genius invention, especially since it works on older model cars as well. However, some fear his idea would be stolen.

Rebone Mariri commented, “Please make sure your friend does not get ripped off his invention... He must get a business deal & own his intellectual property for life. This is brilliant I never imagined and app controlling a 1999 Toyota corolla. Abantu aba mnyama unite Protect this Person, Lawyers and developers alike PLEASE.”
