Thandy Matlaila is slaying her role as Cleo on the hit TV series, The Queen, and although her career is booming, there’s something missing in her personal life- well, according to her family that is.
Matlaila is approaching her 30s, and as her birthday draws near, she admitted her family is concerned because she does not have a hubby and kids.
It is a known fact that there is pressure placed on women to start a family at a certain age, and Matlaila is starting to feel the pressure.
The actress opened up about her family going to the lengths of holding prayer meetings with the hopes God would send her, her true love.
According to TimesLIVE, Matlaila told Move Magazine both her spiritual mother and biological were kneeling in prayer out of fear that she would never find a husband or have kids.
However, Briefly.co.za learned despite the pressure put on her by society and her family, she does not feel the need to conform to those standards.
"There's pressure to achieve certain things. Everyone is making a big deal out of me turning 30, but I feel that it is just a year added to my life.”, she said.
