- Brian Ndlovu has a chronic lung condition
- He appealed on Twitter for help to buy a R25,000 portable oxygen concentrator
- Well-wishers have responded positively
South Africans are proving yet again that they are a caring people. This time, they are rallying to help a man with a chronic lung condition.
Brian Ndlovu has chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Briefly.co.za learned. He therefore relies on an oxygen concentrator to breathe.
However, he needs a portable concentrator because of frequent power outages in his area. In addition, it would make it easier for him to travel.
The portable oxygen concentrator costs around R25,000. Brian therefore took to Twitter to appeal for help in buying it.
South Africans from all walks of life have responded positively to his appeal. They have made donations ranging from R20 to R1,000.
Thanks to the caring nature of South Africans, Brian is a step closer to getting his portable concentrator and living a more normal life.
