14-year-old genius graduates from high school and college on same day

- 14-year-old Matthew McKenzie has been described as a super genius

- The brainy young man acquired both his college and high school degree on the same day

Matthew McKenzie is a sharp brain and has quite achieved a lot for his age. The young chap nailed two of the biggest academic qualifications on the same day.

The 14-year old on May 10, 2018, got his high school diploma and an associate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Chattahoochee Technical College, USA. And he is the youngest student to receive a degree from the school this year.

Speaking to Fox5, he said "I graduated from Chattahoochee Tech with my degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and later that night got my diploma from high school,"

According to his mother Monique McCord, Matthew since his second grade has been home-schooled. The Georgia teen started taking high school classes at age 8, and by 11, started a dual enrollment program at Chattahoochee Technical College.

His mother continued that she decided to homeschool her son after school officials refused to allow him to advance to a higher grade.

Speaking to Atlanta Journal Constitution, she said "Educationally, he's always been ahead, I felt like it would be a disservice to stop him."

The young boy plans to attend Kennesaw state university to study biochemistry, then pursue his Masters and Ph.D. in chemical engineering at Georgia Tech.

"I want to be a Cosmetic Chemist. I want to start my own line of chemical products, the beauty of things," he said.
