A taxi commuter has a simple but hilarious request to fellow commuters — please tell your gossip stories quickly so everyone knows how the story ended.

Nonhlanhla T made the funny request on Twitter recently, Briefly.co.za gathered. She wrote:

Guys please, when you gossip in a taxi, please be fast. It's so painful to get off wondering how the story ended.

Her tweet struck a cord with many people. More than 600 retweeted it and over 1,200 others liked it.

Many of her followers echoed her request, while others came up with even more hilarious suggestions to get those juicy endings. See some reactions below.

When you tell a story in a taxi, better have its ending.

Some suggested staying in the taxi until the end of the story, even if it means getting off in unfamiliar places.

For others, it's simple — just turn to the storyteller and ask how the story ends.

Others simply found Nonhlanhla's request hilarious.
