Actress Sphelele Mzimela has opened up about black tax and the fact that she does not want her children to be burden with it when she is older.
Black tax is very real for so may South Africans- they have to give money to every family member until there is not a cent left for them.
So, Isibaya actress revealed she would work hard so that her children do not have the stress of looking after her and paying black tax when she's old.
"I don't want the same for my children. I want them to just live their lives because it stagnates our progress a little because we always have to look back. You can't really look forward because you're always looking back and dragging others with you."
According to the SA beauty, a lot of family members sit around, doing nothing and then expect others to support them.
And, she admitted she spoke to her family members about the issue, hoping they would listen to her.
Mzimela added she urged her siblings on to work hard and get a good education because she can not be the only one who financially supports their mother.
