TV and radio personality Sakina Kamwendo has sympathised with the father who allegedly shot dead his son when he thought he was being hijacked.

Sakina shared heartfelt message on Twitter on 6 June, learned.

She said as a mother who she knows the devastation of child loss, her heart breaks for the family.

The popular radio presenter suggested that South Africans are constantly living in fear because of the ever-rising crime rate in the country.

According to News24, Luyanda Themba Tshabalala passed away after his 50-year-old unnamed dad mistook him for hijackers and shot him on 5 June. The incident happened in Ennerdale, Johannesburg.

Sakina's touching message inspired her followers to also send their condolences and sympathies to Luyanda's family.
