Liverpool star forward and man of the moment, Mohamed Salah could be heading for Spain next season. Salah has reportedly been offered to Barcelona FC by his own agent, the report claims Salah could be an option for Barca if their proposed deal with Antoine Griezmann falls through.
Salah had a dream debut with Liverpool in the English Premier League, finished as the top goalscorer of the competition and in doing so broke the record for goals scored in a single season.
Barcelona has been trying to secure the services of Antoine Griezmann, but talks between the respective parties have stalled in recent weeks.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Salah’s agent has offered his services to Barca as an alternative to Griezmann. The La Liga champions are said to be keen to bolster their attacking line-up and have indicated their interest in Salah.
KickOff.co.za reported that Salah’s current side, Liverpool, are open to losing their star if they are offered enough money and crucially if they manage to secure the services of Nabil Fekir.
Liverpool is understood to be looking for at least R1.5 billion to release Salah.
Meanwhile, Salah is understood to be making good progress in his recovery from a shoulder injury. Despite this, the Egyptian national coach has revealed that he is preparing for the slim possibility that the star will not be fit to play in the World Cup.
The Egyptian medical team believes it will be touch and go as to whether or not Salah will be ready to play in the team’s opening match against Uruguay on 15 June.
