A lucky lady from the Vaal in Gauteng has landed a job after an employer came across her job wish on Twitter.
The lady, who calls herself Dal'akathenjwa on her Twitter profile, first posted her job wish at the end of May, Briefly.co.za learned.
She fervently wished for the day she would get a job, adding that she would cry herself to sleep and have a "look at God" moment.
Her heartfelt tweet moved many of her followers and other Twitter users. It garnered over 300 retweets and 1,100 likes.
In a follow-up tweet, she indicated that her qualifications are in the construction sector, but she was open to jobs in different fields.
On Thursday, Dal'akathenjwa posted an appreciation tweet confirming that she had landed a job after the many retweets she got.
Her followers congratulated and joined in on her "look at God" moment. See some of their reactions below.
Social media has become a helpful arena for jobseekers lately, with many getting jobs after sharing their qualifications there.
Briefly.co.za reported recently on the case of Mphankomo, who had been unemployed for a year despite having a Masters degree. He got a job after sharing his story on Twitter.
