- Tinashe has a physical disability and is also gay
- She often encounters negativity as a result
- However, she turns it into positivity and stays true to herself
A disabled and gay young student has revealed that she turns the negativity she encounters in society into positivity.
Truiny Tinashe made the revelation in an inspiring post on Twitter, Briefly.co.za gathered.
She said although she uses crutches to walk, it doesn't mean that she's unable to do things that normal people do.
Tinashe credited popular media personalities Boity Thulo and Innocent Matijane for inspiring her to stay true to herself.
In her Twitter bio, she describes herself as a journalism student, LGBT advocate, presenter, and motivational speaker.
Recently, Tinashe proved that she's not shy to express her gay orientation when she posted a photo of herself and her partner.
She accompanied the photo with the caption, "#FineQueerCouples I love you."
South Africa is full of inspirational stories of how people living with disabilities overcome their challenges.
Recently, Briefly.co.za reported on the case of Mpho Mathabi from Limpopo. Although he doesn't have arms, he founded an organisation that empowers young people in his community.
