Mbo Mahocs lands "cheeky" role on hit SA soapie, Scandal!

Zimbawean Television host & Actress Mbo Mahocs got her big break in South Africa as she is set to appear on etv's Scandal.

Mahocs, who hails from Bulawayo, would star as a "cheeky young lady who'll do everything to get what she wants."

Taking to social media, Phil Mphela made the casting announcement, which would see Mahocs acting alongside long standing Scandal! cast members Hlomla Dandala and Joyce Skefu.

"CASTING NEWS: Congrats to Zimbawean TV host & Actress Mbo Mahocs. She has joined South African soapie @etvScandal which airs on @etv. Mbo plays Chichi, a cheeky young lady who'll do everything to get what she wants. She makes her on-screen debut on the show TONIGHT at 7:30pm", he captioned his post.

Scandal! fans were excited about the news and they used the social media handle to share thei congratulations to Mahocs.

However, one Zimbabwean felt Mphela should have left out her origin out of fear that she might receive some backlash because of her nationality.

"You could have just made your point without mentioning her nationality though. She could easily get some backlash because of where she is from and whose jobs these nationalities are alleged to be taking. Just saying.", @fredynotkruger commented.
