Video shows man being kidnapped in broad daylight and no one helped him

A shocking video shows an alleged abduction in broad daylight in Johannesburg at Plein and Rissik.

On Monday, a social media user took to Twitter to share a video of an alleged kidnapping that took place at Plein and Rissik. However, it is unclear when the incident took place.

In the video a man is heard screaming for help while other unidentified individuals continue to try and shove him into their vehicle.

“An abduction at Plein & Rissik. The guy was driving the a van @SAPoliceService @BhekokwakheCele @AdvBarryRoux @tumisole”, Katleho Malinga captioned the video.

Needless to say, the video gathered a lot of attention from tweeps, who were shocked such an incident could take place during the day and that nobody attempted to help the man in need.

“Who the hell is taking the video n not helping that person.. call for help n unite instead of taking a video”, one tweep commented.

However, some tweeps pointed out a lot of people refrain from helping as a result of fearing for their own lives.

It let to tweeps pointing out even though they were scared to confront the abductors face to face, there were other measure they could have taken.

Briefly.co.za learned the man, who was abducted, was safe but he had been robbed. The kidnappers are still at large.
