A determined lady with cerebral palsy has inspired many people by completing the 2018 Comrades Marathon in a wheelchair.
Videos shared on Twitter show 25-year-old Anita Englebrecht crossing the finish line late on Sunday. She was assisted by Hilton Murray.
According to The Mercury, this is the second time Anita has completed the gruelling race after her 2016 triumph.
Despite her condition, Anita is also excelling in other areas. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Stellenbosch University and is currently pursuing her honours at UNISA.
In addition, Anita has participated in the Cape Town Cycle Tour, the Red Hill Marathon and the Two Oceans ultra marathon.
The Comrades Marathon produced several amazing stories that inspired many South Africans.
Briefly.co.za covered the story of 33-year-old amputee Xolani Luvuno, who completed the race in crutches.
A grieving mom also completed the marathon in memory of her daughter, who passed away just a month ago.
