Naomi Campbell is claiming her rights to being a South African, one honorary moment at a time.

The news of Siya Kolisi becoming the first black player to be named South African Rugby Test captain, made headlines.

Supermodel, Naomi Campbell, made a tribute via her Instagram in congratulating Siya, reported ZAlebs. This proved once again that Naomi is a daughter of South African soil.

Briefly.co.za learnt that this is not the first time Naomi has given a response to South Africa’s current events. She paid her last respects at Mam’ Winne Mandela’s funeral.

Nelson Mandela once referred to the British supermodel as his “honorary” granddaughter. Naomi has had a long relationship with the Mandela family and attended Madiba’s funeral on a ‘family’ accreditation.

Naomi spoke to DJ Fresh back in 2017 and said just how much she misses Madiba and how he’s legacy inspired her and taught her some of the greatest life lessons.

It would be great if Naomi could be granted a dual-citizenship passport. She is deswerving.
