A Twitter user has shared the inspiring story of her mom and her five friends who have known each other for an incredible 40 years.
Kris Michelle, from Georgia in the US, said one of them passed away from cancer in April this year. She posted photos of the five remaining friends, Briefly.co.za gathered.
They call themselves "The Sensational Six." The photos showed them in Florida, US, on vacation while paying tribute to the one who departed.
Kris' tweet has warmed the hearts of thousands of people on social media, racking up over 300,000 likes and 69,000 retweets so far.
Tyla Genea, another daughter of one of the friends, also shared a photo of all six of them during their 50th birthday photoshoot.
Jordan Alexander, one of their sons, wasn't left behind. He shared a photo of "The Sensational Six" with their children.
Tweeps praised the friends for being together for so long, calling their friendship "beautiful" and "meaningful." See more reactions below.
One tweep suggested that someone should make a movie about the six friends.
