Anje was born with a rare Vein Of Galen disorder, which is a subtype of vascular malformations of the brain.

According to DoveMed.com, the condition leads to the formation of abnormal connections between the arteries and the deep draining veins of the brain.

The rare disease can be detected before or shortly after birth. Briefly.co.za learned the condition can have serious complications for a child, ranging from heart failure to stroke and disability.

Thus far, the little girl already had two surgeries but she is in desperate need to undergo a third one.

However, since Anje and her family is based in South Africa, they require a lot of money to get the international doctors and surgeons to assist in giving her a new lease on life.

"Sadly we do not have medical insurance and the costs of helping our little 9 year old angel is not within our financial grasp", the description on Go Fund Me read.

According to the Go Fund Me page for Anje, the little girl's procedures would cost her mom and dad $75 000, which totals about R1 million, depending on the rand's strength against the dollar.

So, they call on everyone to help out in giving their little angel a long and healthy life.

"Any donations would be greatly appreciated and we will keep you updated on Anje's condition. Thank you to everybody who helps us by either donating or sharing her story on social media."
