Mshoza reveals that the men in her life have mistaken her respect for weakness

Mshoza was at one time alleged physically abused by her estranged husband and was left bruised and in fear revealed that men often mistake her respect as a sign of weakness and stupidity.

Last month she fled her home that she shared Thuthukani Mvula with and was placed under 24 hour protection. She also cancelled all of her gigs.

Police confirmed reports that Thuthukani had been arrested on charges of assault. He is set to appear before the court later this month after he was released on bail of R5000.

Mshoza opened up about the incident days after after she came out of hiding and said that she seemed to draw men to her who were insecure and mistook her respect and obedience for stupidity.

"Love has never done anything wrong to me, only the people that I fall for. I fall for people who can't separate between respect and stupidity. They confuse my respect for stupidity. That is where it goes wrong. I told myself that my next relationship I have to teach the person how to love me and how to understand me. I am very obedient, however I am very smart at the same time, which I don't really portray out there."

She said that she had cancelled her shows after receiving threats. Thanduxolo Jindela, her manager, said that the star was still recovering.

Mashoza is a very strong woman and has made remarkable progress according to Thanduxolo, who said that she isn't feeling sorry for herself or afraid anymore.
