Tweeps divided over Trevor Noah's father's day message

- South Africa's funnyman Trevor Noah caused a divide in his fans with his father's day message.

- Trevor sent a shout-out to appreciate all the single mothers on father's day.

- This gesture was welcomed by single moms who thanked Trevor for his message

- However, some tweeps felt it wasn't appropriate to use father's day to give the single moms love.

Trevor Noah grew up with his mom and it is widely known how much respect he has for her.

His message on father's day once again showed his appreciation for her and all the single moms across the world.

While his message was meant well, many people did not think it was the right time for it.

Trevor grew up in the apartheid era and lived with his mother. He did not see his father as much because he was white, and his mom was black.

So Patricia - Trevor's mother - was forced to raise her son alone. From there the comedian's appreciation and respect for single mothers.

His message certainly got a lot of attention.
