- A woman met the love of her life when she went on a cruise with her daughters
- According to the 47-year-old mom, she divorced the father of her children three-years prior to meeting her now hubby
- They tied the knot in December 2015, and she said she’s married her soulmate
A woman met her husband of three years on a cruise ship after she decided her family needed a break following her divorce.
Mishell Radebe took her daughters on the renowned MSC Sinfonia in December 2013, after her divorce to their father three years’ prior.
According to Radebe, the divorce took a toll on her family and they needed a break. But, it was on this cruise that she met her now hubby, Brian Radebe.
The 47-year-old bumped into Brian on the upper deck, adding she was in disbelief that she’d just meet an eligible bachelor on the cruise.
"He introduced himself and didn't let go of my hand. I felt comfortable in his presence and I was at ease when he asked questions”, she explained.
According to Radebe, her 46-year-old hubby asked her out on a date and because their phones had no signal on board, they agreed to meet at reception.
"We spoke for hours and this was also where he told me he was accompanied by his mother and son. He wanted to give them a trip they would never forget."
Radebe said her now-mother-law saw her on the cruise on day one and she prayed that her son would meet her. So, when she saw them together three days later she thanked God for answering her prayers.
Briefly.co.za learned the couple dated for one year and completed the lobola process within six months before tying the knot on 19 December 2015.
"The wedding was in Kwa-Thema. The irony of the story is that the Radebe elders named me "M'Ntambama", which means late afternoon.
However, The Sowetan reported their union was not without difficulties, but their four children from previous relationships - aged between 12 and 23 – gave their blessing.
"I'm with my soulmate and forever grateful that I went on that cruise."
