A 21-year-old Pretoria-based chef has paid a heartfelt tribute to her loving boyfriend on Twitter, saying he's always been there for her.
Jessica Rumo said she has struggled with depression from a young age, Briefly.co.za learned.
When she started dating her boyfriend Tebogo two years ago, he promised to make her happy and get her off antidepressants.
Jessica said Tebogo picks her up from work no matter what time she gets off, uses his medical aid to buy her medication, and even helped her study for her exams.
When she graduated, Tebogo took care of everything, including her graduation gown, pedicure, dinner, and shopping.
Although Jessica pushed Tebogo away when she had a mental breakdown recently, he was still there to offer her emotional support.
She added that they connect emotionally, spiritually, and mentally at a level that's beyond love. They also share common values and goals in life.
He appreciates my entire existence in life. He worships the ground I walk on and the love I receive from this man is something I'll forever cherish and appreciate.
Jessica's tribute touched the hearts of her followers. Some even shared their own stories about their dedicated boyfriends. See some of their reactions below.
