Cassper flew economy for the 'first time in 3 years' because he refused to pay R107 000 for an upgrade

It is no secret Cassper Nyovest is one of the wealthiest rappers in South Africa. As Briefly.co.za reported previously, he splashed R10 million on a mansion and his mom was proud.

However, just because he has a lot of money does not mean he is about to spend it on something that's completely unnecessary- especially not on a plane ticket.

Nyovest took to Twitter to tell his fans he flew economy for the first time in years after he found out a first class upgrade will cost him over R100 000.

"First time flying economy in 3 years on an international trip and it is humbling. Wanted to upgrade my flight but it was 107 000 ngathi no ways. I’ma sit big boned ass on the aisle seat nicely. Tryna finish building these offices/studio space for Family tree. Re tla teng", he captioned his post.

One of Nyovest's fans was apparently on the same flight as him, and he asked if it was necessary that they send him to the back of the plane.

Others tweep agreed with the Ksazobalit hit maker, adding they would never pay R107 000 for a plane ticket- unless it took them to heaven.

Fans then started posting their own "first time in years" memes, and it was hilarious.
