The internationally recognised DJ, Black Coffee, has not forgotten his roots and has set his eyes on giving back to the people in a massive new project.
He had been working on a project with designer Laduma Ngxokolo and artist Nelson Makamo to build a school dedicated to music, fashion and art.
The school is located in a deserted part of Johannesburg and Black Coffee plans to turn it into an oasis of artistic excellence.
Virgil Abloh and SA architecture firm SAOTA have been tasked with building the school and the neighbourhood. The new town will have space for everyone and their unique talents.
Black Coffee has previously revealed that the school would provide jobs for those who leave the school.
"For music, if you get admitted as a student you also receive a recording contract and you'll be taught about music, branding and social media, music business and more. Second year, you (will) release your first single. In your final year, you work on your album and launch it at your final recital," he added.
The ambition plan might just become a blueprint for new methods of education and provide the youth of South Africa with a real chance of a bright future.
