Riky-Rick got real recently in a heartfelt letter to his little boy. In the letter, he spoke about how terrified he had been of parenthood. He spoke about how he had been terrified of not being able to provide financially.

He added how he has come to realise that what really matters is time and love, and that it is these two things that are most important.

In a recent article on Times Live, he added that, although he had a good childhood, his dad had focused more on providing financially, when what he really needed was his own dad’s time.

"My father was a good man but I wish he could’ve been allowed the space not to have to chase money his whole life, I wish I could’ve told him, 'papa all I need is you.'"

All we can do is realize that everyday is a new opportunity to create our future. Everyday is a chance to improve ourselves and all we have to do is take the first step. Thank you my son. You turned a scared young man into a proud father. I LOVE YOU ❤,” he said.

Riky has had moments like this before and in a previous article, he sent a heartfelt message to Da L.E.S for helping him when he had nothing.

According to a Twitter post by Riky Rick, he once had nothing- no food, no home and no money. And, if it was not for his 'brother' Da L.E.S, he would not have made it through the challenging time.

"My brother @2freshLES You and your mom let me sleep at your house when I didn't have a place. Gave me food and a job when I needed it. Showed me what family means. Thank you bro. Thank you.", the post read.
