Black excellence: SA man graduates abroad and becomes a medical doctor

A South African student at Shandong University in China has taken to Twitter to celebrate his graduation as a medical doctor.

Kholwani Zungu shared the inspiring news along with photos of himself at his graduation, Briefly.co.za learned.

His Twitter followers congratulated him for his achievement, with many calling it another example of black excellence.

Kholwani's tweet has gone viral, garnering well over 6,600 likes and almost 1,000 retweets so far. See some of the reactions from his followers below.

"Congratulations."

Some urged him to return to South Africa and contribute at home.

Some cheeky tweeps joked that Kholwani can now write them free sick notes and prescriptions.

Others wished to follow in Kholwani's footsteps.
