A talented sculptor is winning loads of clients in Pretoria after a Facebook user shared a photo of his amazing wooden toys.
Marlene Truscott, a Pretoria resident, shared a photo of Oliver Loidi and his artworks on her profile late last year, Briefly.co.za learned.
She praised him as a "master crafter of wooden toys" and revealed that he operates at the corner of Glenwood and Manitoba streets in Faerie Glen.
Since then, Marlene's post has garnered well over 3,500 shares, 500 likes, and 130 comments. Commenters praised Oliver's talent and some sought his contacts to buy his toys.
In the comments, it emerged that Oliver is originally from Malawi but lives in Mamelodi. Marlene also revealed that Oliver sells his toys at prices ranging from R250 to R800.
Oliver's fame has found its way to Twitter, where a recent post about him went viral. It racked up over 128,000 retweets and 82,000 likes.
