If you have been a fan or followed the singer’s life over the years, you will know that Kelly Khumalo has not been the luckiest when it comes to love. Despite being involved in several relationships in the public eye, speaking to Times Live, Kelly has once revealed that she is yet to experience true love.
During a recent interview on Touch HD, the mother of two revealed that she is ready to dive back into the dating scene again and how she would be doing things differently this time around. “I’ve always gone into relationships because someone has asked me out. It has never been about do I want to be with this person? Do I want to date this person? Do I want a relationship with this person? Do I even like this person enough to be in a relationship with them?”, said Khumalo.
The musician made it clear that this time she was not looking for a boy, but a man. She said she wants a man who will be able to stand up to the woman she has become; a woman who knows exactly what she wants and represents.
Briefly.co.za is aware that Kelly has a child with rapper Jub Jub and another with late soccer star Senzo Meyiwa. Speaking of Jub Jub on Fresh Breakfast on Friday back in 2017, Khumalo said she doesn’t want to deprive her son of a relationship with his father but wants him to decide on his own whether he wants a relationship with him or not when he’s older. In 2016, on MTV Base’s Behind the Story, the Asenime hitmaker revealed that as much as she loved Senzo, that relationship was waste of her time and energy.
