Being sponsored by the luxury car giant Lexus has its perks and Siphiwe Tshabalala is enjoying every second of it.
Tshabalala gets to drive around in stunning Lexus vehicles, but after owning one of the manufacturer's SUV for a while, it was time to say goodbye to the car.
The renowned midfielder took to social media to bid farewell to his Lexus LX 450d, which he described as a "house in motion".
However, Briefly.co.za learned the star footballer was not going home empty handed, he traded in the SUV for a sporty beast, which he also shared on his Instagram account.
Shabba's fans congratulated him on the sporty car, adding he should not care about those who are jealous.
Aronemacamo wrote, "Beautiful picture surprising many people jealous down'.
The SUV and new sporty beast is not the first Lexus cars Shabba has driven. However a report by the Sowetan last year indicated Tshabalala's association with the brand got him in hot water with Kaizer Chiefs boss lady Jessica Motaung.
According to the report, Motaung did not want Tshabalala to drive around in the sponsored Lexus car, since all the other players drove around in Toyota vehicles as part of the club's sponsorship deal with the car maker.
It reportedly resulted in a disagreement between Motaung and Shabba's football agent Jazzman Mahlakgane.
We're just glad it was all sorted out.
