Two selfless women from Karen Court in Cape Town are making the lives of their neighbours a little easier by supporting them however they can.
Claire de Vries and Najwa Elliot take care of and reach out to their neighbours who have no one else.
They do these kind deeds without receiving any financial rewards. For them, it's more about seeing people feel loved and taken care of.
Claire and Najwa feed and clean their sick, disabled, and elderly neighbours every day. The two women also take care of cooking and cleaning for the grateful helpless.
50-year old Najwa has two children of her own, but she lost her son only two months ago during a shooting in Manenberg, according to a report by IOL News.
Briefly.co.za learned that these two unselfish women are both City of Cape Town Community Development Workers who work without pay.
They ensure that their neighbours take their medication every day and look after those who cannot afford private care.
It is women like Najwa and Claire who give South Africans hope in a time when hope is so rare.
