A young South African graduate overcame his mother's passing a few months ago to graduate and get admitted as an attorney.
Lehlogonolo Thaphlos Makhura shared several posts on Twitter to celebrate his achievement, Briefly.co.za learned.
In one of them, he recalled how he had to work twice as hard as other students because of being black, insecure, and gay.
Makhura also revealed that when his mom passed away, he still had three exams to sit for the following week.
He called it "the most difficult thing in life" he had to go through. Fortunately, he passed — and he thanked God for that.
Makhura's friends and family, who supported him throughout his studies, were on hand to celebrate his achievement with him.
