- Hunky TV presenter, model and actor Lunga Shabalala has achieved his dream - he is successful in the entertainment world
- However, his dad did not want him to pursue a career in the entertainment industry and the 29-year-old had to go against his dad's will
- Lunga's father still isn't happy about his decision, despite his success
Lunga Shabalala is known for his role in The River, where he acts alongside many famous faces. Shabalala is now a face often seen on our screens and has finally "made it big".
But to realise his dream to become a well-known face on South Africa's screens, Lunga had to defy his father's wishes.
His dad told him to not go into entertainment as a career. He had knowledge of the industry and advised Lunga that it would be very hard to make a name for himself.
ZALebs reports that Lunga's dad told him to pursue his dream, but he wasn't very happy about it.
Lunga's dad did buy him the bus ticket he needed to get to Johannesburg.
Despite his obvious success in the entertainment world, Lunga's dad still doesn't want him working in the industry.
Lunga isn't sure exactly how his dad feels about him staying in the entertainment business.
The rest of Lunga's family is happy for him and supports him completely.
One thing is for sure - although his dad isn't too happy with his career choice, Lunga has made a success of himself. His days of surviving on noodles - as reported on by Briefly.co.za - is only a memory now.
