The learners in need are currently in Grade R and attend the Siyafunda Haven and Daycare.

Tweeps showed their true character as they immediately rose to the call, offering to donate old toothbrushes in their possession.

And sometimes the cause is a little more light-hearted. Briefly.co.za recently featured an article about a man asking tweeps to help him land a date with his beautiful crush.

The man decided he was going to make a move, so he asked her how many retweets he should get on Twitter for her to go on a date with him- and she replied 5000.

“Twitter, please help a bro out!! I never asked for anything.”, he captioned his post.
