Late on Sunday evening, South Africans learned that former president Jacob Zuma's son passed away at the Milpark Hospital in Joburg.
The Citizen reports that Vusi Nhlakanipho Zuma (25) died at the hospital after a short illness.
It is not known at the time what illness struck the young man so suddenly.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Vusi was admitted to the Milpark Hospital only a few days ago.
Vusi was born to the former president from his late wife Kate - who committed suicide in 2000.
Kate bore Zuma 5 children, including the twins Duduzile and Duduzane.
Vusi was not fond of the spotlight and kept away from the media.
Further details on the young man's passing and the funeral will be released by the Zuma family later.
